Eastern Bhutan: According to the Bhutanese Government less than 1% of foreign visitors reach parts of Eastern Bhutan, so this journey takes advantage of the fact. In late March and early April 2025, we have planned a journey with a mixed theme: a monastic dance festival in Gom Kora, the birds and flowers of the spring, two national parks, two villages which are noted for their incredible weaving, and a journey to rejoice in the wonderful scenery. If the Indian border opens at Samdrup Jongkhar, as we expect it will, we will reach Bhutan after a domestic flight within India. This tour will suit those who might write or paint or photograph, and certainly there will be time to botanise and birdwatch. This tour is now open for booking: there is now just one place left!
